Representaciones sociales de profesionales de enfermería sobre el riesgo laboral de la infección por Covid 19 en el Hospital Carlos Lanfranco La Hoz - 2022

Abstract

Objetivo: Analizar las representaciones sociales en los profesionales de enfermería sobre el riesgo laboral de la infección por COVID-19 en el Hospital Carlos Lanfranco La Hoz, 2022. Material y método: Enfoque cualitativo y diseño de tipo fenomenológico. Se utilizó el muestreo por juicio. La técnica de recolección de datos fue la entrevista semiestructurada. Se construyó una guía de entrevista que fue validada por jueces expertos. La guía de entrevista contó con 12 preguntas agrupadas en cuatro subcategorías referentes a las representaciones sociales. Resultados: En el análisis de las entrevistas de los 15 profesionales de enfermería se asoció a la categoría principal sobre las representaciones sociales que consta cuatro subcategorías, la dimensión de información, dimensión de actitud, la dimensión de imagen y la dimensión de opinión. Conclusiones: Este estudio evidenció que la mayoría de profesionales de salud de enfermería mostró desconocimiento respecto al uso de los equipos de protección personal y la prevención y el control de infecciones llegando a tomar conciencia de ello, por consiguiente, se encontró preocupación y miedo de poder contagiar a sus familiares frente la situación de la pandemia, por lo que se vio un cambio en la rutina del personal de salud al llegar a su hogar realizando medidas preventivas. Por último, las profesionales de enfermería expresaron apoyo insuficiente por parte de las autoridades que limitaban ofrecer una atención holística y de calidad ante el riesgo por el contagio por COVID-19.

Objective: To analyze the social representations in nursing professionals about the occupational risk because of COVID-19 infection at the Carlos Lanfranco la Hoz Hospital, 2022. Material and method: Qualitative approach with a phenomenological research design. It was used a trial sampling. The data collection technique was the semi-structured interview. It was made an interview guide validated by expert judges which consisted of 12 items grouped into four subcategories referring to social representations. Results: In the analysis of the interviews performed on 15 nursing professionals, the main category was associated with social representations, which consists of four subcategories such as the information dimension, the attitude dimension, the image dimension and the opinion dimension. Conclusions: This study demonstrated that the majority of nursing health professionals showed ignorance regarding the use of personal protective equipment and the prevention and control of infections, becoming aware of it; consequently, it was found concern and fear of being able to infect their relatives due to the pandemic situation, so it was observed a change in the routine of health personnel when they arrived home carrying out preventive measures. Finally, the nursing professionals expressed that authorities support was insufficient since there was limit to offer holistic and quality care due to the risk of transmission of COVID-19.
