Diseño de un sistema de riego por goteo para el Valle de la Chira (septiembre 2018)

Abstract

Una de los problemas que atraviesa el país, y que afecta el desarrollo de algunas regiones en el Perú es la escasez y el uso indebido del agua en el sector agrícola. Según el ex ministro Milton Martin, en el 2012 nuestro país ha perdido 300 mil hectáreas de tierra de cultivo en los últimos 20 años por el mal uso de los recursos hídricos [1]. Según el Director Administrativo de agua Caplina Ocoña, Ronal Fernández, el Perú ocupa el puesto 37 a nivel mundial por el mal uso del agua [2]. Lo cual es preocupante. Adicionalmente, el funcionario Abelardo De La Torre indica que la agricultura se lleva el 80% del agua que se distribuye en el país, y que para viviendas se destina más del 10%. En agricultura, agrega, hay un alto desperdicio de agua y solo se usa el 30% del recurso que se distribuye pues hay una “cultura muy primitiva y la infraestructura es rústica” [3]. Por las razones anteriormente señaladas, en esta solución propuesta, se diseñó un sistema de riego orientado a la producción de Limón, en el Valle de La Chira en Piura, porque es la principal región productora de este producto con una técnica de regadío adecuado para el riego de estos cítricos, como el riego por goteo obteniendo mayor eficiencia en el uso del agua.

The present work is addressed in the first place The problem of agriculture in Peru as the inefficient use of water in irrigation the automated drip irrigation system that fulfills the function of irrigating agricultural areas the best use of water and obtaining from the same way a production or harvest of higher quality in the Chira Valley, Sullana, Piura. The project is very broad that is why in this work only the design of the system but not the implementation will be carried out. But it will bring many benefits for the families involved in the agricultural activity and also for the development of the province of Sullana, Piura. The product that will be taken into account on this occasion is the lemon because the department of Piura is a national leader in the production of citrus fruits such as lemon, therefore the drip irrigation system will be used. It was possible to obtain favorable results when carrying out tests with the drip irrigation system in a small plot, reducing a high percentage of water consumption for irrigation.
