Implementación de un sistema web para la gestión de la investigación en la Facultad de Ciencias e Ingeniería de la Universidad de Ciencias y Humanidades

Abstract

La facultad de Ciencias e Ingeniería de la Universidad de Ciencias y Humanidades, cumple un papel importante en el desarrollo y avance académico de los estudiantes. Uno de los objetivos es promover la investigación y contribución de nuevos conocimientos en su comunidad, esto se visualiza en congresos y distintos eventos académicos que se llevan a cabo en la universidad. También, con los aportes de los estudiantes con trabajos de investigación como papers presentados en importantes revistas. Sin embargo, se presenció que la gestión de la información que tiene la UDI no es el adecuado. Donde se encuentran los procesos de titulación de los estudiantes y egresados, seguimiento de los semilleros, programación de eventos académicos durante el año, el proceso de Programa 3 y el seguimiento de los trámites y resoluciones que se establecen. Todos estos procesos, se registran mediante un Excel y documentos que pueden ser vulnerados. Por lo tanto, se implementó un sistema web, que cubre todas las necesidades de la problemática mencionada. Para la cual se utilizó el marco trabajo Scrum, de igual manera, se determinaron los Sprint que cumplieron con los requerimientos. Así mismo, el marco de trabajo usado para el desarrollo del sistema es el framework Laravel para el backend y Angular como frontend, junto con el gestor de base de datos MySQL. Con la implementación de este sistema web, se evidenció una mejora en la gestión de las investigaciones de la UDI, optimizando los tiempos de registro de información, mejorando la seguridad y accesibilidad de los datos.

The Faculty of Science and Engineering of the University of Sciences and Humanities plays an important role in the development and academic advancement of students. One of the objectives is to promote research and contribution of new knowledge in its community, this is visualized in congresses and various academic events that take place at the university. Also, with the contributions of the students with research works such as papers presented in important journals. However, it was observed that the information management of the IDU is not adequate. This includes the processes of graduation of students and graduates, follow-up of the seedbeds, programming of academic events during the year, the process of Program 3 and the follow-up of the procedures and resolutions that are established. All these processes are recorded using Excel and documents that can be violated. Therefore, a web system was implemented, which covers all the needs of the mentioned problem. For which the SCRUM framework was used, likewise, the Sprint that met the requirements were determined. Likewise, the framework used for the development of the system is the Laravel framework for the backend and Angular as frontend, along with the MySQL database manager. With the implementation of this web system, an improvement in the management of the UDI's research was evidenced, optimizing the information registration times, improving the security and accessibility of the data.
